As the First Place Winner in 2008, this is her second time with the first place honors (and you may also notice that in 2007, Platypus was awarded honorable mention). Incidentally, her 2009 winning entry is titled Fourth.

As if winning wasn't enough, the nice letter sent out by the judges made the recommendation of submitting the story to Leading Edge magazine.
"...while we cannot guarantee that your story will be accepted for publication, we know that your story is good enough that it will be a strong candidate for publication."
Way to go Platypus! Woo hoo! You should put it on our Family website so I can read your story "Fourth"! I'm curious and would love to read it ... fourth what? Love you!
